Induction and Training

Induction, training and ongoing support

  1. When references have been received we will send you:

    • Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) form to complete and return​;

    • Details of online safeguarding training to be completed;

    • Emergency contact details form to complete and return;

    • Volunteer Agreement form to complete and return;

    • Details of induction and role-specific training dates;

    • Pre-reading for induction and role-specific training.

  2. When your DBS has been approved and your training completed, you will have a phonecall with one of the team to discuss how/where you will begin volunteering;

  3. Group Facilitators have a period of observation and mentoring prior to facilitating their own groups;

  4. Group Facilitators will receive regular group supervision from a qualified supervisor;

  5. All volunteers will receive regular contact and support from our Volunteer Coordinator;

  6. Each year we host a Team Day, where consolidation or further training is provided as well as an opportunity to meet and support each other.
